Igloo dates have become all the rage this season and for good reason. They're private, the vibes are fab and many places are going the extra covid-safe mile to clean them between parties. Below are our top 5 igloo / cabin / bubble (whatever you want to call them!) date picks. If we missed any or if you have info to add on any of these leave us a note in the comments! Note: all the below locations sanitize and disinfect the igloos between reservations (all reservations are for 90 minutes)
*As always please err on the safe side and use your best judgement about what you deem is covid safe enough to your standards. With cases up in NYC and everywhere, please be safe if you choose to go out!

The Greens at Pier17 (pic #3 on our post)
This is probably the nicest private cabin spot around in NYC and subsequently the hardest to get a spot at. New dates are released every Monday at 10AM for the following week's reservation (set that reminder!). Cabins cost $50 to reserve (not including drinks and food bill) and offers heaters, air purifiers and more. To reserve head to bit.ly/sdsigloo1
Bryant Park's Winter Village (pic #4 on our post)
The winter village is back and better than ever this year with reservable igloos in addition to the usual ice skating and holiday shops. While it's fairly easy to get a reservation, the only downside is the price point- the igloos cost $200+ to reserve but keep in mind the price include a few drinks and food options so worth it if you're going to eat. You can also reserve igloos at the curling café which is an addition $50 and includes a dedicated curling lane! To reserve, head to bit.ly/sdsigloo2. For a more economical option, check out The Lodge Deck- a fully outdoor cocktail bar that overlooks the rink.
City Vineyard at Pier 26 (pic #1 on our post)
City Vineyard's new location at Pier 26 is worth checking out in general but especially now that they have winter domes that overlook the water. While there's no fee to reserve the domes, there's a hefty $300 food + drink minimum so hope your party is thirsty! (domes can seat up to 8 guests. FYI they don’t always enforce this minimum). Reserve at bit.ly/sdsigloo3. For a midtown option, City Winery is also doing a pop-up domesite at Rockefeller Center's ice skating rink that you can reserve for free with a $250 min spend.
230 Fifth (pic #5 on our post)
This is the OG igloo rooftop bar which encourages walk-ins but also does have some reservable spots online at bit.ly/sdsigloo4. They currently have 17 igloos available but are hoping to add more to accommodate the demand (demand is high! Waits for a walk in igloo can be long). While there's no fee to sit in the igloos, they only sit parties of 4+ and you need to order drinks / food (no minimum to order!). They now also offer movies to watch in your igloo!
Savanna Rooftop (pic #2 on our post)
If you're looking to get out of Manhattan, Savanna Rooftop is a really cool spot in Long Island City, Queens with private "sky suites" you can reserve for $25/person (prices become $50/person for parties over 4 people) by heading to bit.ly/sdsigloo5. Come for the Manhattan skyline views, stay for the smores kit you can order
